ION STUDIO PHOTOSHOOT CLASS

*Students must complete all four editorial styling classes to be eligible for this 2-day class. This exciting 2-day course offers stylists the chance to meet and learn from top fashion-industry professionals about how to create and execute a photo shoot, and take away your own beauty shots to include in your portfolio.

On day one, you’ll meet with top industry professionals, including a photographer makeup artist, casting agent and stylist to learn how they work in order to direct your own photo shoot. You’ll also revisit content from previous editorial styling classes to determine looks for the day two photoshoot and learn about how texture and products can make or break your photograph.

On day two, you’ll take all you’ve learned to create a photo-worthy look on a working model at a New York City studio, and work with them in front of the camera to get that great shot. At the end of the weekend you’ll be armed with the basic skills necessary to begin building both your book and kit. You’ll gain knowledge about how to communicate your inspiration to your team as well as industry professionals you wish to work with. This is a dynamic class designed to push you out of your comfort zone and to arm you with foundation skills needed to enter the world of Editorial and Freelance Styling.
